Kentucky
Kentucky, a team with much potential this season, is led by freshman sensation Terrence Jones Jones was recently named the SEC Freshman of the Year, and is averaging 15 points and 7 rebounds per game He is joined in the frontcourt by fellow freshman Darius Miller and junior forward Josh Harrellson. The backcourt features sophomores Doron Lamb and Brandon Knight. Kentucky hasthe size and athleticism to match up with any team in the country, and their freshmen have played beyond their years. Look for Kentucky to make a deep run in the NCAA tournament
Ohio State
As the 2010-2011 college basketball season gets underway, Buckeye fans are optimistic that their team has what it takes to make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament Led by junior guard Aaron Craft and senior forward David Lighty, Ohio State has the talent and experience to compete with any team in the country.
The Buckeyes will have their work cut out for them in the tough Big Ten conference, but if they can manage to earn a top seed in the NCAA tournament they will have a great chance to make a run at the National Championship
Duke
Duke, located in Durham, North Carolina is a private research university with an endowment of $6.8 billion. The school has a long history of success in athletics, especially men’s basketball. Duke has won five NCAA National Championships and appeared in 11 Final Fours. The team is currently ranked number 1 in the nation by the AP poll. Duke has produced many successful NBA players including Kyrie Irving Luol Deng, and Carlos Boozer.
Syracuse
Syracuse is one of the top college basketball teams for 2011. The team went 30-5 overall and 13-3 in the Big East Syracuse was ranked No. 1 in the AP poll for four weeks during the season.
Connecticut
The Connecticut Huskies are the top college basketball team for 2011. They have an amazing record of 32-2 and are ranked first in the nation. They have some Great players on their team, including Kemba Walker and Jeremy Lamb.
Pittsburgh
The Pittsburgh Panthers men’s Basketball team represents the University of Pittsburgh in NCAA Division I college basketball competition. The Panthers compete in the Atlantic Coast Conference and play their home games in the Petersen Events Center. The team is currently coached by Jamie Dixon who has served as Head Coach since 2003.
Missouri

The Tigers have a new head coach this season in Frank Haith but they return plenty of talent, including 6-8 forward Ricardo Ratliffe, who shot an incredible 72.5 percent from the field last season. They also bring back Marcus Denmon, Kim English and Michael Dixon to form one of the best backcourts in the country.
Marquette
Marquette, a Catholic university located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is home to the Golden Eagles The school enrolls around 11,000 students and has an endowment of over $600 million. Marquette competes in Division I of the NCAA and is a member of the Big East Conference The basketball team has made it to the NCAA tournament 25 times and has appeared in the Final Four four times.
Xavier
The Xavier Musketeers Basketball team represents Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States The school’s team currently competes in the Atlantic 10 Conference. The Musketeers are currently coached by Chris Mack Of all Division I programs, Xavier has the 18th-best winning percentage (.705) as of 2010. Their best season was in 2006 when they advanced to the Elite Eight after winning the Atlantic 10 tournament and receiving a #4 seed in the NCAA tournament
Wisconsin
Wisconsin is a college basketball team that plays in the NCAA Division I. The team is a member of the Big Ten Conference and it is one of the top teams in the conference. Wisconsin has won the conference championship six times, and it has made seven appearances in the NCAA Tournament Wisconsin has made it to the Sweet Sixteen four times, and it has made one appearance in the Final Four.
Georgetown
Georgetown, a team from the Big East conference, is ranked number 25 in the nation for 2011. The school is located in Washington D.C. and the team’s colors are blue and gray. The Hoyas have made it to the NCAA Tournament 27 times and have been to the Final Four five times.

Coach Tom Izzo always has his teams ready to play in the tournament and they should be one of the favorites this year.

The Buckeyes are always a tough team to beat and this year will be no different. They have a lot of experience returning from last year’s squad and they also have some very good young players Coach Thad Matta always has his teams playing well in March and they will be a tough opponent for anyone in the tournament.
3. Duke
The Blue Devils are always one of the best teams in the country and this year will be no different. They have a lot of talent returning from last year’s squad and they also have some very good newcomers. coach Mike Krzyzewski always has his teams ready to play in the tournament and they should be one of the favorites this year.
4. Kansas
The Jayhawks are always one of the best teams in the country and this year will be no different. They have a lot of talent returning from last year’s squad and they also have some very good newcomers. Coach Bill Self always has his teams ready to play in the tournament and they should be one of the favorites this year
Texas
Texas Longhorns – The Longhorns may have lost some big names to the NBA, but they’ve got the talent to compete for a National Championship They’ll be led by Jordan Hamilton, one of the best scorers in the country.
Duke Blue Devils – The Blue Devils always have a solid team, and this year is no different. They’ll be led by Kyrie Irving one of the best point guards in the country.
Kentucky Wildcats – The Wildcats are always a force to be reckoned with in College Basketball and this year is no different. They’re led by Brandon Knight, one of the best point guards in the country.
Kansas Jayhawks – The Jayhawks are always a tough team to beat, and this year is no different. They’re led by Thomas Robinson, one of the best power forwards in the country.
North Carolina Tar Heels – The Tar Heels are always one of the top teams in the country, and this year is no different. They’re led by Harrison Barnes one of the best small forwards in the country.
Vanderbilt
In 2011, Vanderbilt was ranked number one in the nation by the Associated Press. The team went on to win the SEC tournament and make it to the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA tournament
Florida
Florida, the top college basketball team for 2011, has an overall record of 27-2. Their losses come from Alabama and Kentucky. Florida has some very talented players, including forward Chandler Parsons and center Vernon Macklin. These two have helped lead the team to an SEC regular season title. The Gators have a strong defense, which has been a big part of their success this season. They will be a force to be reckoned with in the NCAA Tournament
Gonzaga
Gonzaga is the top-ranked team in the nation heading into the 2011 college basketball season. The Bulldogs are coming off a 29-4 campaign in which they won the West Coast Conference regular season and tournament titles. They return all five starters from that team, including leading scorer and rebounder Elias Harris.
Gonzaga will have a target on their back all season long but they have the talent and experience to make a run at the National Championship If they can stay healthy, the Bulldogs should be in for a special season.
Butler
The Bulldogs of Butler have long been one of the most underrated teams in college basketball They have a Great Coach in Brad Stevens, who has led the team to two consecutive appearances in the National Championship game. The Bulldogs also have a great core of players, including seniors Matt Howard and Shelvin Mack. With these two leaders, and a strong supporting cast, the Bulldogs have a chance to once again be one of the Top Teams in the country.
Temple
Temple is a public research university located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States Founded in 1884 by the Baptist minister Russell Conwell, Temple is one of the largest and most comprehensive universities in Pennsylvania with 38,000 students and more than 300 degree programs. Temple’s 2011 total budget was $1.3 billion.
Illinois
With the college basketball season in full swing, it’s time to take a look at the top 25 teams in the country. Illinois, led by star player Demetrius Nichols, is one of the top contenders for the NCAA championship this year. The team has a strong record and is ranked high in both the AP and USA Today polls. Memphis
The Memphis Tigers are the top team in the nation heading into the 2011 college basketball season. Memphis also has one of the best recruiting classes in the country, led by McDonald’s All-American Adonis Thomas. The Tigers will be a force to be reckoned with all season long.
Louisville
Louisville is the consensus number one team in the nation heading into the 2011 college basketball season. They are a deep and talented team, led by point guard Peyton Siva and center Gorgui Dieng. They have size, speed, and shooting, and should be able to make a run at the National Championship this year.

5. Ohio State The Buckeyes are another team that returns all five starters from last season’s squad. Jared Sullinger will be a force in the paint, while Aaron Craft is one of the best Defensive Players in the country.
North Carolina
North Carolina is a college basketball team that plays in the Atlantic Coast Conference of NCAA Division I. The Tar Heels are currently ranked first in the nation by both the Associated Press and the ESPN/USA Today Coaches’ Poll. North Carolina is also the defending national champion, having won the NCAA Tournament in 2009.
Purdue
Purdue is a public research university located in West Lafayette, Indiana and is the flagship campus of the six-campus Purdue University system. The university was founded in 1869 after Lafayette businessman John Purdue donated land and money to establish a college of science, technology, and agriculture in his name.
Baylor
Baylor is looking to take its game to the next level this year under the leadership of senior guard LaceDarius Dunn. Baylor has a deep bench and good size that will help them compete in the Big 12. They havenon-conference wins against Mississippi Valley State UMKC, TCU, and Cornell.
