Gallaudet University is a great place to learn about the game of basketball The team is extremely talented and has a lot of experience playing at the collegiate level. Gallaudet University is also a Great Place to learn about the deaf community and how to interact with people who are deaf. The Basketball team is a great way to get involved with the community and learn more about deaf culture.
Gallaudet University Basketball – A Must See!
Gallaudet University basketball is a must see! The team is composed of deaf and hard-of-hearing student-athletes who compete at the Division III level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Gallaudet University is located in Washington, D.C.
The team has been very successful over the years, winning the NCAA Division III National Championship five times: in 1988, 1989, 1994, 1995 and 1996. In addition, the team has won the Eastern collegiate athletic conference (ECAC) Division III National Championship eight times: in 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991 and 1992.
The Gallaudet University Basketball Program is one of the most successful programs in Division III history. If you have never seen them play, you are missing out on a great experience!
The Gallaudet University Experience
Gallaudet University is located in Washington D.C. and is the world’s only university specifically for deaf and hard of hearing students. What many people don’t know about Gallaudet is that they also have an amazing basketball team! The Gallaudet University Bison are Division III athletes and compete in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC).
So why should you go see a Gallaudet university basketball game?
First, the games are always lots of fun and full of energy. The players use ASL (American Sign Language) to communicate with each other on the court which makes for an exciting and unique experience.
Second, the games are a great opportunity to learn more about deaf culture and the deaf community. If you’ve never been exposed to ASL before, watching a game is a great way to learn some basics.
Finally, supporting the team is a great way to show your support for deaf education and all that Gallaudet University does for its students.
So come out and support the team! The next Home game is February 8th at 5:00 pm against Cazenovia College.

Gallaudet University is Division III Basketball powerhouse The team has made it to the NCAA Division III tournament four times in the last ten years and has won the ECAC South title three times.
The team is led by Head Coach Kevin Cook, who has been at the helm for eight years. Cook has racked up an impressive 271-64 record during his time at Gallaudet.
The team plays its home games in the Field House, which is located on campus. The Field House seats 2,500 people and is a great place to watch a game.
