The Gonzaga Bulldogs Women’s Basketball Team

The Gonzaga Bulldogs Women’s Basketball team is a Division I college basketball team representing Gonzaga University. The team competes in the West Coast Conference and is currently coached by Lisa Fortier. They play their home games at the McCarthey Athletic Center on campus. The Bulldogs have made 14 appearances in the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Tournament with their most recent appearance coming in 2019. As of June 2020, the Bulldogs have a conference record of 511-230 (.689).

2. Jill Townsend – Townsend is a 6’3″ guard from Spokane, Washington. She averaged 10.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game last season as a junior. Townsend is an excellent all-around player who does a little bit of everything for the Bulldogs. She is a very good shooter from long range and is also excellent at getting to the basket and finishing around the Rim.

3 . Zykera Rice – Rice is a 6’1″ forward from Los Angeles California. She averaged 9 points and 7 rebounds per game last season as a junior. Rice is an excellent rebounder and interior defender who uses her length well to block shots and alter shots around the rim . She also has a nice touch around the basket and is an excellent finisher in traffic .

-Zach Norvell Jr.: The 6-foot-5 sophomore from Chicago is one of the best shooters in the country. He averaged 16.8 points per game last season and shot 42 percent from three-point range

-Josh Perkins: The 6-foot-3 junior from Spokane is one of the best point guards in the country. He averaged 14.4 points and 5.4 assists per game last season and shot 39 percent from three point range.
