What does this mean for the NCAA tournament?

The answer is that it’s difficult to say. The Midwest Conference is generally considered to be a mid-major conference, meaning that it’s not one of the “power conferences” like the ACC, Big Ten or SEC. That said, there are always a few teams from mid-major conferences that make a run in the NCAA tournament This year, it’s possible that the Midwest Conference could have two teams in the NCAA tournament the regular season champion (who didn’t make it to the conference tournament final) and the Conference Tournament champion. We’ll have to wait and see how things shake out when the NCAA tournament bracket is released.

What was the most exciting part of the tournament?

The Midwest Conference Basketball Tournament was held last weekend, and it was full of exciting games The most exciting part of the tournament was the championship game between the two top seeds, which went into overtime. In the end, the team from the small school won, making it their first ever conference tournament championship.

How did the tournament affect conference standings?

As the regular season comes to a close, the conference Basketball Tournaments are underway. These tournaments will not only decide which team gets an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament but also help determine seeding for the big dance. Although it is early in the tournament, some upsets have already taken place. Here is a look at how the tournament has affected Conference Standings thus far.

In the Big Ten Michigan State was upset by Penn State in the quarterfinals. This loss dropping them from a potential 2-seed in the NCAA Tournament to a 4-seed. Michigan State will still make the NCAA tournament but their chances of making a deep run just got a lot tougher. Ohio State also lost in the quarterfinals, but they were not highly ranked to begin with and are still projected to make the NCAA Tournament as a lower seed. Wisconsin lost in the semifinals to Michigan, but they were already projected to be a high seed in the NCAA Tournament and their loss will not have much bearing on their seeding. Michigan is now projected to be a 2-seed in the NCAA tournament after their win over Wisconsin.

In the ACC, Duke was upset by Syracuse in the quarterfinals. This loss does not damage Duke’s seeding too much as they are still projected to be a 1-seed in the NCAA Tournament However, it does put them at risk of losing out on a top seed if they don’t win their Conference tournament Syracuse’s win helped their seeding as they are now projected to be a 4-seed instead of a 5-seed. Florida State also suffered an upset loss in their conference tournament but they were not highly seeded to begin with and are still projected to make the NCAA tournament as a lower seed.

In summary, there have been some upsets in conference Basketball Tournaments so far that have affected conference standings. Michigan State and Duke have both lost games that could hurt their seeding for the NCAA tournament while Syracuse has won a game that has helped their seeding
