Navy fans, the wait is over! The highly anticipated 2017-2018 Navy Basketball Schedule has finally been released. The Midshipmen will tip off their season at home against VMI on November 10th, and will end their regular season on the road against Army on February 17th. Some other notable games include a Home game against conference rival Colgate on December 5th, and a road game against defending National Champion North Carolina on December 20th.
The Navy basketball schedule is always one of the most highly anticipated releases of the year for Midshipmen fans. Be sure to mark your calendars and get your tickets early for what promises to be an exciting season of Navy basketball!

The Navy Basketball Schedule is Here! The wait is finally over, and the Navy Basketball Schedule has been released. Here is a first look at the Midshipmen’s slate for the upcoming season
The 18-19 season will tip off on November 6th, when the Midshipmen host Loyola (MD) at Alumni Hall in Annapolis. Navy will then hit the road for four of their next five games, including a trip to Hawaii to take on former Head Coach Oliver Purnell and his DePaul squad.
Other notable games on the schedule include a December 8th matchup with Maryland at XFINITY Center in College Park, a December 29th contest against Army at Alumni Hall, and a February 9th showdown with American at Bender Arena in Washington, D.C.
The Mids will also play three games as part of the Gotham Classic, which includes home contests against Howard (November 20th) and UMBC (December 2nd), as well as a trip to Madison Square Garden to take on Hofstra (December 22nd).
The Navy Men’s Basketball team is set to embark on their journey for the 2019-2020 Season The Midshipmen are coming off a historic season in which they claimed the program’s first NCAA tournament victory, and first appearance in the tournament in over two decades. The team will look to build on that success this season with a talented group of returners and newcomers. head coach Ed DeChellis enters his ninth season at the helm of the program, and he will have his work cut out for him with a challenging schedule.
The Navy Basketball Schedule is comprised of 32 games, including 16 home games and 16 away games. The Midshipmen will play a total of 17 games against teams that participated in postseason play last year. That includes 12 games against teams that made the NCAA Tournament and five games against teams that played in either the National Invitation Tournament (NIT) or the college basketball Invitational (CBI).

Now that the wait is finally over, the Navy Basketball schedule has been released! Here’s a game-by-game breakdown of what to expect this season:
Nov. 5 vs. Loyola Maryland – The Midshipmen will tip off their season at home against Loyola Maryland. This will be Navy’s first game against the Greyhounds since they joined the Patriot League in 2013.
Nov. 8 vs. UMBC – Navy will stay at home to take on UMBC in their second game of the season. The Midshipmen will be looking to avenge their loss to the Retrievers from last year.
Nov. 12 vs. Charleston – Navy hits the road for their first away game of the year, as they take on Charleston. The Midshipmen have never lost to the Cougars, and they’ll be looking to keep that streak alive.
Nov. 15 vs. Howard – Navy returns home to host Howard in their final non-conference game of the season. The Midshipmen have won 11 straight games against the Bison dating back to 2001.
Nov. 18 vs. Colgate – Navy opens up Patriot League play at home against Colgate. The Midshipmen have won 19 of their last 20 games against the Raiders dating back to 2002.

The Navy Basketball Schedule has been released, and there are some key games to look out for. The Midshipmen will face off against Army in the Star Game on December 14th. This will be the first time these two rivals have met since 1993. Other key games include a matchup against Conference USA foe Tulane on December 21st and a game against Patriot League rival Bucknell on January 11th.

Navy’s final non-conference game will be a road contest at Army on December 14th. The Midshipmen will then open Patriot League play on December 28th at home against Bucknell.
With a young team that is still trying to find its identity, the Navy Coaching Staff hopes that the challenging non-conference schedule will help prepare the Midshipmen for what promises to be a tough Patriot League campaign.
