--Draymond Green A versatile forward who can play both Power Forward and center, Green was drafted by the Warriors in 2012. He is a two-Ime Nba Champion, and he was named Defensive Player of the Year in 2016. He was also named an All-Star in 2016.

Forwards

--Kevin Durant One of the best players in the NBA, Durant was drafted by the Seattle SuperSonics in 2007. He played nine seasons for the Thunder before joining the Warriors in 2016. He is a two-time NBA Champion and he was named Finals MVP in 2017. He was also named MVP of the regular season four times (2010, 2011, 2012, 2014).

--Andre Iguodala One of the league’s best defenders, Iguodala was traded to the Warriors from Denver in 2013. He is a two-time NBA champion and he was named Finals MVP in 2015. Iguodala has also been named to six All-Defensive Teams throughout his career.

Zaza Pachulia A veteran center who joined the Warriors from Dallas in 2016, Pachulia has been a key member of both Championship teams. He is known for his physical style of play, and his ability to rebound and defend well against some of the league’s best big men

The Players

Stephen Curry
Curry was born in Akron, Ohio, while his father was a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers He lived in Charlotte, North Carolina for much of his youth before moving to Toronto, Canada during his teenage years; he subsequently enrolled at Queensway Christian College in Toronto. Curry played college basketball for Davidson. There he set the NCAA record for most three-pointers made in a season with 162 and was twice named Southern Conference Player of the Year. During his sophomore year, Curry also set the single-season NCAA record for three-point percentage.

Draymond Green
Green was born in Saginaw, Michigan, to Mary Babers and Wallace Davis. Green grew up with his mother and two sisters. When he was nine years old, Green’s father stole money from one of his relatives and spent eight months in jail. As a result of the incident, Green’s parents divorced and he stopped speaking to his father until 2012 when they reconciled at one of Green’s basketball games

Kevon Looney
Looney attended Hamilton High School in Los Angeles where he played basketball. In his senior season (2012–13), he averaged 16 points per game 11 rebounds per game and four blocked shots per game as Hamilton finished the regular season 26–3 overall and 12–0 in league play to win the CIF LACS Division I championship. He was subsequently named to the 2013 McDonald’s All-American Team on January 29, 2013.

Leading the Oakland Varsity Basketball team this season are head coach Kendall Weir and assistant coaches Drew Murphy and Jamal Thomas.

Kendall Weir has been with the program for four years, serving as an Assistant Coach for two years before being promoted to Head Coach prior to last season. Coach Weir is a native of Oakland and a graduate of Morehouse College He is in his second season as Head coach

Drew Murphy is in his first season as an assistant coach with the Oakland varsity basketball team He is a graduate of Oregon State University and has previous coaching experience at the collegiate level.

Jamal Thomas is also in his first season as an assistant coach with the Oakland varsity basketball team He is a graduate of Howard University and has previous coaching experience at the collegiate level as well.
