Ja Morant
The 2020 NBA draft is rapidly approaching and the mock drafts are already out in full force. With the draft order not yet set, it’s tough to know where everyone will land, but we can still take a look at some of the top prospects Here’s a look at one prospect from each lottery team that could wind up being a steal on draft night.
Ja Morant, PG, Murray State
Mock drafts have Morant going anywhere from No. 2 to No. 6, but he has the chance to be a true difference-maker for whichever team selects him. He averaged 24.5 points, 10 assists and 5.7 rebounds per game last season en route to winning Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year and leading Murray State to the NCAA tournament Morant has drawn comparisons to Russell Westbrook due to his explosive athleticism and ability to finish above the rim, but he’s also an excellent playmaker with incredible vision. He would be an ideal fit alongside fellow young star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander on the Oklahoma City Thunder as they looks to rebuild around those two cornerstone pieces.
The DraftExpress scouting report reads: “An electric scorer and playmaker with terrific physical tools, an unrelenting motor, and an improving feel for running a team, Morant looks like he could develop into a very special player down the road if everything breaks right for him.”
RJ Barrett
RJ Barrett is widely considered one of the top prospects in the 2024 NBA Draft class. A 6’7″ wing from Montverde Academy in Florida, Barrett is a consensus five-star recruit and is ranked as the No. 1 player in the class by ESPN, Rivals and 247Sports.
Barrett has drawn comparisons to Lebron James and has been compared to James Harden and Paul George. He is considered one of the best perimeter scorers in his class and has been praised for his ability to create his own shot.
The Thunder currently hold the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft but it is unclear if they will keep the pick or trade it. Other potential Top Picks include Bronny James Mikey Williams and EJ Montgomery.
Coby White
The 2024 NBA Draft will be the 2023-24 season’s draft.
Coby White is an American professional basketball player for the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the North Carolina Tar Heels
In his lone season of College Basketball he was named the ACC Rookie of the Year. White was selected by the Bulls with the seventh overall pick in the 2019 NBA draft He was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team in his rookie year.
Darius Garland is an American professional basketball player for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played College Basketball for one season at Vanderbilt University before declaring for the NBA draft where he was selected with the fifth overall pick by the Cavaliers.
As a freshman at Vanderbilt, Garland averaged 16.2 points and 3.8 assists per game and was named first-team All-SEC and to the SEC All-Freshman team. He tore his meniscus shortly into his college career and missed most of his only season with Vanderbilt. Despite this, he was still drafted highly in 2019, going fifth overall to Cleveland. In November 2019, Garland suffered a torn meniscus in his left knee, which caused him to miss significant time during his rookie year.
James Wiseman is an American Professional Basketball player for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for one season with Memphis before declaring for the 2020 NBA Draft where he was selected second overall by the Golden State Warriors

Wiseman then transferred to Memphis East high school where he reclassified to become eligible for college in 201920 instead of 202021 as originally planned.
Darius Garland
Darius Garland is a 62 point guard from Nashville, Tennessee. He played one season of college basketball at Vanderbilt University where he averaged 16.2 points, 3.8 assists, and 2.6 rebounds per game. Garland was considered a potential lottery pick in the 2019 NBA Draft but opted to return to Vanderbilt for his sophomore season. However, he suffered a torn meniscus in his left knee in November 2019 and missed the rest of the season. Garland declared for the 2020 NBA Draft after his freshman year and is projected to be a first-round pick.
Garland is an excellent shooter with deep range and a quick release. He is also a good ball-handler and playmaker with the ability to create his own shot or set up teammates. Garland has good size for a point guard and is an above-average athlete with quickness and explosiveness. However, he will need to add strength to his frame in order to compete at the NBA level. Additionally, Garland must work on improving his defense and decision-making ability as he looks to transition to the pro level
De’Andre Hunter
The 2024 NBA Draft class is already shaping up to be one of the most stacked in recent memory, with presumptive No. 1 overall pick De’Andre Hunter leading a group of potential superstars that includes fellow blue-chip prospects James Williams and Bronny James Jr.
Hunter, a 6’7″ wing out of the University of Virginia is widely regarded as one of the best two-way players in college basketball and projects as a potential superstar at the next level. He’s an elite shooter with a superb feel for the game, and he has the size and strength to switch onto larger players on defense.
Williams, meanwhile, is a 6’8″ Power Forward from Duke University who many believe is the second-best player in the class behind Hunter. He’s an explosive athlete with great footwork and touch around the basket, and he has the ability to stretch the floor with his Three-point shooting
Bronny James Jr., son of NBA legend Lebron James rounds out the top three prospects in the class. The 6’2″ guard from Sierra Canyon high school in California is already an excellent shooter and playmaker, and he has all the tools to become a top-level player at the next level.
Other notable prospects in the class include Mikey Williams (son of former NBA All-Star Jay Williams), Jahmius Ramsey, Scottie Lewis, Jalen Green and Emoni Bates
Cam Reddish
The 2024 NBA Draft class is loaded with potential. With Zion Williamson RJ Barrett, and Ja Morant leading the way, there are plenty of players that could be selected in the top ten However, there are a few players that have the potential to be drafted outside of the lottery. Cam Reddish is one of those players.
A 68 wing from Duke, Reddish was considered to be one of the best prospects in the class prior to the college season. He was a consensus top five recruit and some had him pegged as the number one player in his class. However, his freshman season did not go as planned. Reddish averaged just 13 points per game and shot less than 35% from three-point range His numbers were somewhat better in ACC play, but he still wasnt living up to expectations.
Despite his struggles, Reddish is still considered to be a potential first round pick. He has good size for a wing and hes a good shooter. His lack of productivity is concerning, but many believe that he has the tools to be a very good player at the next level. It will be interesting to see where he falls in the draft and if he can live up to his lofty expectations.
