2. Oscar Robertson – “The Big O” is one of the greatest players in NBA history and he got his start right here in Lee County. He played his High School ball at Crispus Attucks high school before going on to have a stellar collegiate career at the University of Cincinnati He was then drafted #1 overall by the Cincinnati Royals in 1960, and went on to spend 14 seasons in the NBA. He was a 12-time All-Star and a member of the 1971 NBA Championship winning Milwaukee Bucks team. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1980.
