The NBA’s best players
In no particular order, here are 10 of the best players currently in the NBA.
The NBA’s best teams
The National Basketball Association (NBA) is a professional men’s Basketball League in North America composed of 30 teams (29 in the United States and 1 in Canada). It is one of the four major professional sports leagues in the United States and Canada, and is widely considered to be the premier men’s Professional Basketball league in the world.
The NBA was founded in New York City on June 6, 1946, as the Basketball Association of America (BAA). The league adopted the name National Basketball Association on August 3, 1949, after merging with its rival National Basketball League (NBL). The league’s several international as well as individual team offices are directed out of its head offices located in Midtown Manhattan.
The 2016–17 NBA season is the 71st season of the National Basketball Association The regular season began on October 25, 2016 with five games, including a reunion game between former Chicago Bulls teammates Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler as members of their new teams: Rose with the New York Knicks while Butler debuts with his hometown Minnesota Timberwolves
The NBA’s worst teams
There are a lot of poor NBA teams out there. But which ones are the absolute worst? Here is Geeboy’s definitive list of the bottom five:
5. The Minnesota Timberwolves
4. The Los Angeles Lakers
3. The New York Knicks
2. The Cleveland Cavaliers
1. The Philadelphia 76ers
The NBA’s most overrated players
The National Basketball Association is full of talented players. Fans love to watch them play and argue about who the best players in the league are. But sometimes, players get more credit than they deserve. They might be good, but they’re not as great as people think. Here are a few of the NBA’s most overrated players.
The NBA’s most underrated players
The NBA is full of star players but there are also plenty of underrated players who don’t get the credit they deserve. Here are a few of the most underrated players in the league:
--Chris Paul Paul is one of the best point guards in the league, but he doesn’t always get the credit he deserves. He’s an excellent playmaker and a very good defender, and he’s been one of the best players in the league for many years.
-Pascal Siakam: Siakam is a rising star for the Toronto Raptors and he’s already one of the best players in the league. He’s an excellent scorer and rebounder, and he has the potential to be even better in the future.
– Rudy Gobert Gobert is one of the best Defensive Players in the league, but he doesn’t get as much credit as he deserves. He’s an elite shot blocker and rebounder, and he’s also a very good offensive player
The NBA’s best players by position
The National Basketball Association (NBA) is the premier professional basketball league in the world. It was founded in 1946 as the Basketball Association of America (BAA). The NBA is composed of 30 teams, 29 in the United States and one in Canada.
The NBA’s best players by position are:
Point guard: Stephen Curry Golden State Warriors
shooting guard Klay Thompson Golden State Warriors
small forward Lebron James Cleveland Cavaliers
Power Forward Draymond Green Golden State Warriors
Center: Demarcus Cousins New Orleans Pelicans
The NBA’s worst players by position
It’s that time of year again. The time when the NBA regular season is over and the playoffs are about to begin. And that means it’s time for Geeboy’s annual guide to the worst players in the NBA. This year, we’ll be looking at the worst players by position.
We all know there are some bad teams in the NBA. But which players on those teams are the worst of the worst? That’s what we’re here to find out.
We start with the point guards The position is loaded with talent, but there are still a few duds. At the very bottom is Isaiah Thomas of the Cleveland Cavaliers Thomas was once an All-Star, but he’s been a huge disappointment since joining the Cavs. He’s averaging just 14 points and four assists per game and he can’t seem to hit a jump shot anymore.
Next up are the Shooting Guards This is another position that’s loaded with talent, but there are still a few players who don’t quite measure up. One of those players is Kent Bazemore of the Atlanta Hawks Bazemore is averaging just 12 points per game and he’s shooting a dismal 32 percent from three-point range He’s also one of the worst defenders in the league.
Moving on to the small forwards we find a player who has been a huge disappointment this season: Otto Porter Jr. of the Washington Wizards Porter was supposed to be one of the Wizards’ best players, but he’s been averaging just 11 points and five rebounds per game while shooting a terrible 33 percent from three-point range. He needs to step up his game if the Wizards are going to make any noise in the playoffs.
At power forward we find one of the most frustrating players in the league: Skal Labissiere of the Sacramento Kings Labissiere has had some bright moments this season, but he’s been incredibly inconsistent overall. He’s averaging just eight points and four rebounds per game while shooting an abysmal 38 percent from three-point range. The Kings need more from him if they’re going to make any progress next season.
Finally, we come to center, where we find DeAndre Jordan of the Los Angeles Clippers Jordan is one of the best rebounders in the league, but that’s about all he brings to the table these days. He’s averaging just seven points and nine rebounds per game while shooting an abysmal 46 percent from free throw range. The Clippers need more from him if they’re going to contend for a championship anytime soon
The NBA’s best rookies
The National Basketball Association (NBA) is widely considered to be the premier professional Basketball league in the world. It is also one of the four major North American professional sports leagues, alongside Major League Baseball (MLB), the National Football League (NFL), and the National Hockey League (NHL).
The NBA is a unique league in many ways. Unlike the other major professional sports leagues in North America the NBA has a relatively shorter season. The NBA regular season runs from late October to early April, with each team playing 82 games. This is shorter than MLB (which runs from late March/early April to late September/early October, with each team playing 162 games) and the NFL (which runs from early September to late December/early January, with each team playing 16 games).
Another unique aspect of the NBA is that it employs a promotion and relegation system similar to that used in many European soccer leagues. Each year, the Worst Team in the league is “relegated” to the minor-league Development League while the best team in the development league is “promoted” to take its place. This system ensures that all teams are competitive and that there is parity throughout the league.
One of the most highly anticipated events of every NBA season is the Draft Lottery where teams that did not make the playoffs have a chance to win the first overall pick in the draft. This year’s Draft Lottery was held on May 14th, 2019, and it was won by none other than … your humble author! Here are my picks for this year’s best rookies:
1. Zion Williamson – Duke University – New Orleans Pelicans
2. Ja Morant – Murray State University – Memphis Grizzlies
3. RJ Barrett – Duke University – New York Knicks
The NBA’s best free agents
As the NBA offseason rolls on, there are still plenty of big-name free agents on the market. Here’s a look at some of the best players who are available:
Kevin Durant: The reigning Finals MVP is one of the best players in the world and will be in high demand. He’s expected to miss all of next season due to injury, but when he’s healthy, he’s one of the best players in the league.
Kyrie Irving: A star point guard who is coming off a great season with the Boston Celtics He’s one of the best scoring guards in the league and would be a valuable addition to any team.
Jimmy Butler: A versatile wing player who can score, rebound, and defend at a high level. He’s coming off a down year with the Minnesota Timberwolves but he’s still one of the best two-way players in the league.
Kemba Walker An All-Star point guard who is coming off his best season yet with the Charlotte Hornets He’s an excellent scorer and distributer and would be a great addition to any team.
The NBA’s worst contracts
In the NBA, there is a lot of money to go around. Players are given multimillion-dollar contracts to play a game that they love. But not all of these contracts are good deals for the team. In fact, some of them are downright terrible.
These are the worst contracts in the NBA right now.
1. Luol Deng, Los Angeles Lakers Deng is in the middle of a four-year, $72 million deal with the Lakers. He’s averaging just 7.6 points and 5.3 rebounds per game this season, and he’s been a major disappointment for a Lakers team that expected him to be a key piece of their rebuild.
2. Joakim Noah, New York Knicks Noah is in the first year of a four-year, $72 million deal with the Knicks. He’s been limited to just seven games this season due to injury, and when he has been on the court, he’s averaging just 4.6 points and 7.9 rebounds per game.
3. Carmelo Anthony New York Knicks Anthony is in the middle of a five-year, $124 million deal with the Knicks. He’s having a down year by his standards, averaging 22.4 points per game while shooting just 43 percent from the field. His contract is one of the biggest albatrosses in the NBA right now.
4. Timofey Mozgov, Los Angeles Lakers Mozgov is in the first year of a four-year, $64 million deal with the Lakers. He’s been a massive disappointment so far, averaging just 6.3 points and 4 rebounds per game while shooting an abysmal 46 percent from the field.
5. Ian Mahinmi, Indiana Pacers Mahinmi is in the first year of a four-year, $64 million deal with the Pacers. He’s been limited to just 18 games this season due to injury and when he has been on the court he’s been largely ineffective, averaging 5 points and 4 rebounds per game while shooting 42 percent from the field
