Ohio State baseball Coach Chris Holbrook has led the Buckeyes to four Big Ten Championships in his six years at the helm.

Chris Holbrook is the current Head Coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes baseball team He was hired on June 11, 2013, succeeding Greg Beals who had resigned to take the head coaching job at Ball State

Prior to his current position, Holbrook served as an Assistant Coach at UNC-Chapel Hill from 2006 to 2013. He helped lead the Tar Heels to five NCAA regional appearances, including three trips to the College World Series and two ACC regular season championships during his time there.

A native of Brockton, Massachusetts, Holbrook graduated from the University of Richmond in 1999 with a degree in history.

Chris Holbrook is entering his fifth season as head coach of the Ohio State baseball team.

Under Holbrook, the Buckeyes have compiled a 116-88 (.567) record, highlighted by a school-record 41 wins in 2017. That year, Ohio State won its first NCAA Tournament game since 2009 and advanced to the Tallahassee Regional final. The Buckeyes also won the Big Ten Regular Season championship in 2016, marking the first time Ohio State had claimed a share of the conference title since 2009.

A native of Cincinnati, Holbrook played collegiately at Miami (Ohio) from 2001-04. He helped lead the RedHawks to two MAC championships and was named first team All-MAC as a senior in 2004.

Holbrook played college baseball at Mississippi State University from 1996 to 1999. He then served as an assistant coach at his alma mater for four seasons from 2000 to 2003. From 2004 to 2006, he was an assistant coach at Clemson University during his time at Clemson, the team won the ACC tournament in 2005 and made it to the NCAA tournament regional finals in 2006.

In 2007, Holbrook became the head coach of processesional summer team the Falmouth Commodores of the Cape Cod baseball league In his first season as Head Coach he led Falmouth to a 28-15 record and a spot in the CCBL playoffs.

In 2008, Holbrook was hired as an assistant coach at Auburn University During his time at Auburn, the team won an SEC tournament title in 2010 and made it to two NCAA tournament regionals. In 2012, Holbrook helped lead Auburn to its first ever appearance in the College World Series

On June 8, 2017, Holbrook was hired as the head baseball coach at Ohio State University In his first season as head coach of the Buckeyes, he led them to a 30-26 record and a spot in the NCAA tournament regional finals.

Holbrook is a native of Massachusetts and played college baseball at Worcester State University He began his coaching career as an Assistant Coach at his alma mater before moving on to Tulane University where he served as an assistant coach for three seasons.

In 2012, Holbrook was hired as the Head Coach of the University of North Carolina Asheville. He led the Bulldogs to two conference championships and two NCAA Tournament appearances in his five seasons at Asheville.

Holbrook’s Ohio State team finished the 2019 season with a 36-25 record and finished second in the Big Ten Conference The Buckeyes made it to the semifinal round of the Big Ten Tournament before losing to Illinois.
