Joe Johnson (RHP) was selected in the 7th round of the 1986 MLB Draft by the Detroit Tigers but he did not sign and instead went to pitch for the University of Arkansas. He was selected in the 4th round of the 1989 MLB draft by the Atlanta Braves He played parts of two seasons (1990 and 1991) in the minor leagues before making his Major League debut with the Braves in September 1991. He pitched in the majors for parts of four seasons (1991-1994), last appearing with the Chicago White Sox in 1994. He then became a hitting coach, first in college (Arkansas-Little Rock) and then in High School (Shiloh Christian).
