2010 NBA All-Star Roster

The 2010 NBA All-Star Game was an exhibition game played on February 14, 2010 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, home of the Dallas Cowboys The game was the 59th edition of the National Basketball Association (NBA) All-Star Game and was played during the 200910 NBA season This was the second time that Dallas had hosted the All-Star game the city previously hosted the event in 1986. Dallas was awarded the All-Star Game in an announcement by commissioner David Stern on October 30, 2008.

The rosters for each team were chosen in two ways. The starters were chosen via a fan ballot. Two guards and three frontcourt players who received the highest vote were selected to start for their respective conference. NBA head coaches voted for the reserves for their respective conferences, none of which could be players from their own team. Each coach selected two guards, three frontcourt players and two players regardless of position. If a multi-position player was to be picked, coaches were encouraged to vote for him as such; Duncan was voted to start as a forward despite spending most of his career as a center.[1] Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers received the most overall votes at 2,223,315.[2]
