The team had the best record in the NBA last year and added some key pieces in the offseason, including All-Star forward Khris Middleton The Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets are also expected to be near the top of the conference, while the Indiana Pacers and Boston Celtics round out the top six.
further down in the standings, the Detroit Pistons Orlando Magic Charlotte Hornets Atlanta Hawks Washington Wizards Cleveland Cavaliers and Chicago Bulls are all expected to be fighting for a spot in the playoffs. NBA Finals predictions
It is that time of year again. The leaves are changing color, the weather is cooling down and the NBA season is just around the corner. This season is shaping up to be one of the most exciting in recent memory, with a number of teams looking like legitimate title contenders.
The Golden State Warriors have dominated the NBA over the past few years, winning three championships in four seasons. But with Kevin Durant now playing for the Brooklyn Nets and Klay Thompson injured, the Warriors are no longer the clear-cut favorites.
The Los Angeles Lakers are one of the teams that could take advantage of Golden State’s decline. Led by Lebron James and Anthony Davis the Lakers have put together a strong roster and should be in contention for a championship.
The Milwaukee Bucks are another team to watch out for. They had the best record in the NBA last season and have only gotten better with the addition of All-Star forward Khris Middleton
There are a number of other teams that could make noise this season, including the Houston Rockets Philadelphia 76ers, Denver Nuggets and Portland Trail Blazers But ultimately, we believe these three teams will rise to the top and compete for an NBA Championship
MVP predictions
It’s hard to believe but the 2020 NBA season is just around the corner. After a topsy-turvy offseason, there are plenty of story lines to keep an eye on. One of the most fascinating will be who takes home this year’s MVP award Here are our predictions:
Anthony Davis – Los Angeles Lakers
The Lakers made a huge splash in the offseason by acquiring Anthony Davis from the Pelicans. Davis is one of the best players in the league and should thrive playing alongside Lebron James He averaged 28.1 points and 11.1 rebounds last season and should put up similar numbers this year. If the Lakers are able to win around 60 games, Davis will be in the running for MVP.
Giannis Antetokounmpo – Milwaukee Bucks
Last year’s MVP is looking to repeat in 2020 and he has a good chance to do just that. Giannis Antetokounmpo is coming off a season where he averaged 27.7 points, 12.5 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game He’s only getting better and should be in contention for MVP once again. The Bucks are also expected to be one of the best teams in the league, which will help his case.
James Harden – Houston Rockets
James Harden has been one of the best scorers in the league over the past few seasons and that isn’t expected to change in 2020. He averaged 36.1 points per game last season and could put up even bigger numbers this year with Houston’s acquisition of Russell Westbrook The Rockets are also expected to be one of the top teams in the Western Conference which will help Harden’s MVP candidacy

Another player to watch is Tyrese Haliburton who was selected 12th overall by the Sacramento Kings Haliburton is a gifted playmaker with a High Basketball IQ. He’s an excellent shooter and should be able to provide immediate help to a Kings team that needs more perimeter scoring.

Defensive Player of the Year predictions
It’s that time of year again, when the best players in the NBA gear up for another season of action. But before the games begin, there’s always the question of who will take home the coveted MVP Award This year, there are a few clear frontrunners, but there are also a few dark horse candidates who could surprise everyone.
One player who always seems to be in the running for MVP is Houston Rockets forward Lebron James James is a physical specimen and an incredible athlete, and he always seems to find a way to elevate his game when it matters most. This year, he’ll have to be at his best if the Rockets want to have any chance of dethroning the Golden State Warriors
Another player to watch is Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo Antetokounmpo is one of the most versatile players in the league, and he’s coming off a season in which he averaged 27.7 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game If he can take his game to even higher levels this season, he could very well be crowned MVP.
And then there’s Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry Curry is arguably the best shooter in NBA history and he’s coming off a season in which he averaged 26.4 points per game while shooting an astonishing 49 percent from three-point range Curry will need to be at his best if the Warriors want to repeat as champions, and if he puts up similar numbers this season, he could very well win MVP again.
So who will ultimately take home the MVP award? Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure: it’s going to be an exciting season of NBA basketball!
Sixth Man of the Year predictions
In the 2020 NBA season there are a few clear contenders for the title of sixth man of the Year. Here are a few players to watch out for:
Jordan Clarkson of the Utah Jazz is averaging 18 points and 2.6 assists per game off the bench, and is shooting 42.5% from three-point range. He’s been a key player for the Jazz this season, and could be in contention for the award.
Domantas Sabonis of the Indiana Pacers is averaging 18.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1 steal per game this season. He’s been a force to be reckoned with off the bench for the Pacers, and could be a contender for Sixth Man of the Year.
Montrezl Harrell of the Los Angeles Clippers is averaging 18 points and 7 rebounds per game this season. He’s been a key player for the Clippers off the bench, and could be in contention for Sixth Man of the Year.
Coach of the Year predictions
With the 2019-2020 NBA Season now underway, it’s time to take a look at some of our Coach of the Year predictions. We’ve separated our predictions into two tiers; safe bets and long shots.
Our safe bet for this year’s Coach of the Year is Nick Nurse of the Toronto Raptors After leading the Raptors to their first ever NBA Championship last season, Nurse has his team off to a hot start once again. The Raptors currently sit atop the Eastern Conference with a record of 13-4, and they show no signs of slowing down. If Nurse can keep up this level of play, he should have no problem taking home Coach of the Year honors for the second straight season.
Our long shot prediction for this year is Billy Donovan of the Oklahoma City Thunder After a disappointing 2018-2019 season, Donovan has completely turned things around in Oklahoma City The Thunder currently sit at 12-5, good for third place in the Western Conference They’re also one of the league’s Top Defensive Teams allowing just 102 points per game If Donovan can keep up this level of play throughout the season, he could find himself in contention for Coach of the Year honors.
