####Tyaunna Marshall
Marshall is a 5’9″ guard originally from Baltimore, Maryland. She is entering her senior year at Georgia Tech and has been a starting guard for the Yellow Jackets since her freshman year. During her junior year, she averaged 16.4 points and 4.5 rebounds per game

####Sydney Wallace
Wallace is a 5’7″ guard from Suwanee, Georgia. She is entering her sophomore year at Georgia Tech and saw limited playing time as a freshman. Wallace is expected to see more minutes on the court this season as she continues to develop her skills.

Bennett is a 6’3″ forward originally from Cocoa Beach, Florida. She is entering her junior year at Georgia Tech and has been a key player off the bench for the Yellow Jackets over the past two seasons. Bennett is expected to see re Playing time this season as she continues to improve her game.

####Shayla Wrathall
Wrathall is a 6’0″ forward from Canada who is entering her sophomore year at Georgia Tech She played in all 33 games for the Yellow Jackets last season, averaging 2.3 points and 1.8 rebounds per game Wrathall is expected to see increased playing time this season as she continues to develop her skillset.

Small is a 6’3″ post player originally from Miami, Florida. She played in 28 games for the Yellow Jackets last season, averaging 11 points and 5 rebounds per game. Small will be looking to build on her success from last season as she enters her senior year at Georgia Tech

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets women’s Basketball team represents the Georgia Institute of Technology in NCAA Division I basketball. The Yellow Jackets play their home games at McCamish Pavilion on the Georgia Tech campus in Atlanta, Georgia. Georgia Tech has made eight appearances in the NCAA tournament advancing to the Sweet Sixteen three times and the Elite Eight once.

The team is currently coached by MaChelle Joseph, who is in her fifteenth season as Head Coach Coach Joseph has led the Yellow Jackets to twelve NCAA Tournament appearances, six Sweet Sixteen berths, four ACC tournament titles, and two WNIT Championship game appearances. Under Joseph’s leadership, the Yellow Jackets have also produced nineteen All-ACC performers and eight ACC All-Freshman team members.

The current roster for the 2019-20 season features ten student-athletes from eight different states. Guard Zaire O’Neil is a senior who hails from New Jersey and is a two-time ACC All-Academic Team member. Freshman center Elizabeth Dixon is a native of Tennessee who was ranked as a top-100 recruit by ESPN Hoopgurlz Guard Paige Bueckers is a highly touted freshman from Minnesota who was named a McDonald’s All-American prior to coming to Georgia Tech

Other Key Players include junior guards Amanda Thompson and Kayla Pugh, both of whom are averaging over ten points per game this season. Senior forward Brittany Brown is one of the team’s top rebounders and shot blockers, while sophomore guard Lija Turner is one of the squad’s best perimeter defenders Rounding out the roster are freshmen forwards Johna’ Rutledge and Alexia Henderson (Georgia), junior forward Kierra Fletcher (Michigan), and sophomore guard Trinity Bryant (Florida).

Aaliyah Whiteside, a 5’9″ guard from Lovejoy, Georgia, is a sophomore who averaged 3.4 points and 2.1 rebounds per game last season.

Anaja Carter, a 6’3″ forward from Decatur, Georgia, is a senior who averaged 9.5 points and 5.4 rebounds per game last season.

Brittany Jackson, a 6’1″ forward from Atlanta, Georgia, is a junior who averaged 11.4 points and 4.6 rebounds per game last season.

Chloe Rakestraw, a 6’1″ forward from Douglasville, Georgia, is a sophomore who averaged 1.9 points and 2.1 rebounds per game last season.

Francesca Pan, a 5’10” guard from Rome, Italy, is a junior who averaged 8.8 points and 3.6 rebounds per game last season.

Ireland Dunn, a 6’0″ guard/forward from Suwanee, Georgia, is a freshman who comes to Tech from North Gwinnett High School where she was named honorable mention All-State and first team All-Region as a senior averaging 13 points and 9 rebounds per game.

Kari Brekke, a 6’3″ center from Fargo, North Dakota is a senior who transferred to Tech from South Dakota State where she played in 29 games as a junior averaging 1 point and 1 rebound per game.

Kayla Morrison,a 5’11” guard from Duluth, Georgia ,is graduate student who transferred to Tech this season after playing her first three years at James Madison where she started all 33 games as a junior averaging 11 points per game while shooting 40 percent from three-point range (77th nationally).

Lisa Jablonowski ,a 6’2″ forward/center from Aachen ,Germany ,is senior who started all 30 games for the Jackets last season averaging 4 points and 3 rebounds per game while shooting 43 percent from the field (seventh in the ACC). Nia McKay-Loesing ,a 6’2″ forward form St Louis ,Missouri ,is graduate student who transferred to Tech this season after starting her career at Xavier where she played in 81 games averaging 5 points and 4 rebounds per game before suffering an ACL injury prior to her senior campaign .Sydney Wallace-Williams ,a 5’7″ guard form Queens New York ,is redshirt-sophomore .She missed all of last season due to injury after appearing in 15 games as freshman averaging 2 pointd per game .Zaire O’Neil ,a6’2” center form Newark New Jersey ,is redshirt-senior . After sitting out two seasons due to injury she appeared in 28 games last year averaging 10 pointsand 7 reboundd per game while shooting 58 percent form the field which was 10th in the ACC .

Freshman point guard Raiquan Gray is a native of Chicago, while senior center Elizabeth Balogun was born in London and grew up in Nigeria before moving to the United States for high school Other team members hail from across the country, including Arizona, Massachusetts, Virginia, and North Carolina

Imani Tilford is a junior guard from Los Angeles California. She is 5’9” and is majoring in business administration. Imani is the daughter of former NBA player Harvey Grant and was a member of the 2015 WBCA high school All-America team.

Francesca Pan is a freshman guard from Toronto, Canada. At 5’8”, she is one of the shortest players on the team. However, don’t let her size fool you – she is a powerful player and was named MVP of the 2017 FIBA U-19 World Cup after leading Canada to a silver medal.

Sydney Wallace is a freshman guard from Lawrenceville, Georgia. She was a four-star recruit according to ESPN Hoopgurlz and helped lead her high school team to three State Championships

Elizabeth Balogun is a sophomore guard from London, England. She played for Great Britain’s national team at the 2018 FIBA U20 Women’s European Championship, where she averaged 14 points per game

Momo Jones is a sophomore guard from Los Angeles California. Before coming to Georgia Tech she played for Pepperdine University and then transferred to Community College before finally landing in Atlanta.

Freshman guard Lorela Cubaj hails from Naperville, Illinois and was ranked as a top-100 recruit in the nation by ESPN She was also named Illinois’ Gatorade Player of the Year as a senior in high school

Redshirt sophomore Sydney Wallace is a native of Norcross, Georgia and was named to the ACC All-Freshman team last season. Wallace averaged 11.4 points per game and was one of only three players on the team to start all 30 games.

Junior point guard Miranda Templeton is a transfer from Northwestern who sat out last season due to NCAA rules. The Cincinnati, Ohio native was named honorable mention All-Big Ten as a sophomore after averaging 10.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game

Sophomore center Elizabeth Balogun was born in London, England but moved to Atlanta, Georgia when she was four years old. Balogun competed for Great Britain at the FIBA U20 European Championship last summer and led the team in scoring with 15.0 Points per game

There are eleven young women on the Georgia Tech Women’s Basketball Team this season, each with her own story, goals, and passions. Though they come from all over the States (and even one from Canada!) and have different backgrounds, they’re united in their love of the game and their dedication to representing Georgia Tech with pride. Alexa Carter: A sophomore guard from Johns Creek, GA, Alexa is a key player for the team. She averaged 8.6 points per game last season and is known for her 3-point shooting ability. Outside of basketball, Alexa enjoys hanging out with friends, watching TV, and listening to music.

Raniyah Copley: A freshman forward from Charlotte, NC, Raniyah is one of the team’s most promising young players At 6’3″, she provides a great presence in the paint and is a tenacious rebounder. In her free time, Raniyah likes to listen to music and spending time with her family.

Kyndall Hunter: A senior guard from Suwanee, GA, Kyndall is the team captain and one of its most experienced players. She’s averaged over 10 points per game in each of her three seasons at Georgia Tech and is known for her strong defense. Kyndall enjoys spending time with friends and family when she’s not on the court.

Elizabeth Balogun: A junior guard from London, England, Elizabeth is one of the team’s top scorers She averaged 16 points per game last season and was named to the All-ACC second team. Elizabeth loves spending time with her teammates off the court and exploring Atlanta in her free time.

Victoria Banner: A sophomore guard from Duluth, GA, Victoria is another important player for the team. She averaged 7 points per game last season and provides good minutes off the bench. When she’s not playing basketball or studying, Victoria enjoys hanging out with friends and watching movies.

Imani is a freshman guard from Riviera Beach, Florida. She is the daughter of Keith and Tawanna Lewis and has two older sisters, Briana and Brandi. Imani is majoring in business administration and is excited to help the Yellow Jackets on and off the court.

##Nia Okwuone
Nia is a senior forward from Norcross, Georgia. She is the daughter of Asishana Okwuone and has one sister, Olivia. Nia is majoring in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Spanish. After graduation, she plans on working in the tech industry or going to graduate school. Nia loves spending time with her family and friends, playing basketball and watching movies.

The Arena

In the heart of Midtown Atlanta, Georgia Tech’s women’s Basketball team practices and competes at McCamish Pavilion, affectionately known as “The Arena.” The 8,600-seat facility is home to both the women’s and men’s basketball teams as well as the school’s volleyball team. The Yellow Jackets have won two ACC regular season championships and three ACC Tournament championships. The team has made seventeen NCAA tournament appearances, including two trips to the Final Four.

Georgia Tech’s All-time leading scorer is Brittany Pope, who scored 2,168 points during her career from 1999 to 2003. The Yellow Jackets’ all-time leading rebounder is Sonja Mallory, who grabbed 1,186 rebounds from 1985 to 1989.

The Rivalries

The Yellow Jackets women’s Basketball team has a long-standing rivalry with the Duke Blue Devils The two teams have met over 70 times since 1977, with Duke holding a slight 38-34 edge in the series. However, Georgia Tech has won five of the last seven meetings between the two teams, including a 71-68 victory in Durham in January of 2019.

Other notable rivals for the Yellow Jackets include the North Carolina Tar Heels whom they have met over 80 times since 1977, and the Clemson Tigers Georgia Tech has a 29-28 record against UNC and a 28-30 record against Clemson.
