The 2020 NBA playoffs are finally here, and we can’t wait to see who will come out on top. But before the Real Action starts, there’s the play-in tournament. This is where the final few teams battle it out for the last spot in the playoffs. So who will win? We’ve made our predictions below.
The NBA’s play-in tournament is set to begin on Tuesday, August 18th.
The NBA’s play-in tournament is set to begin on Tuesday, August 18th. This will be the first year that the NBA has used this new format to determine the final two spots in the playoffs. In the past, these spots were simply given to the teams with the best records who did not win their division.
This year, however, things are a bit different. The top seven seeds in each conference will earn a spot in the playoffs automatically. However, the eighth and ninth seeds will have to play each other in a single game to decide who gets the final spot in the playoffs.
The same is true for the seventh and tenth seeds, who will also play each other in a single game. The winner of that game will then play the loser of the eighth versus ninth seed game, with the winner of that second game earning the seventh seed in the playoffs.
The entire play-in tournament will be held at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. This is also where most of the rest of the postseason will take place.
Below are my predictions for each of the first round games:
Eighth seed vs Ninth seed: I believe that eighth seed Portland Trail Blazers will defeat ninth seed Memphis Grizzlies The Blazers have been one of the best teams in basketball since star guard Damian Lillard returned from injury, and I think they will be able to continue their strong play against a Grizzlies team that has struggled down the stretch.
Seventh Seed vs Tenth Seed: I believe that seventh seed Dallas Mavericks will defeat tenth seed Minnesota Timberwolves The Mavericks have one of best players in basketball in young sensation Luka Doncic and I think he will be too much for Minnesota to handle.
Second Round Game: I believe that Portland Trail Blazers will defeat Dallas Mavericks to earn the final spot in the Western Conference Playoffs. As I said before, Portland has been playing very well as of late, and I think they will be able to continue their strong play against a Mavericks team that is not as experienced playoff team.
The tournament will feature eight teams in total, with the winner of each game advancing to the playoffs.
The NBA’s play-in tournament is finally here, and it’s sure to be a thrilling event. A total of eight teams will be competing for a spot in the playoffs, and the winner of each game will advance.
Which teams are most likely to win? Here are our predictions:
-The Los Angeles Lakers are the clear favorite to win the tournament. They are the defending champions and have one of the best players in the world in Lebron James
-The Portland Trail Blazers are also a strong contender. They finished fourth in the Western Conference and have a dynamic scoring duo in Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum.
-The Memphis Grizzlies are a dark horse team that could make some noise in the tournament. They nearly made the playoffs without star player Ja Morant, so they could be dangerous with him back healthy.
-The Golden State Warriors are another team to watch out for. They have struggled this season but still have two of the best players in the world in Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson
The Los Angeles Lakers are the top seed in the Western Conference and they will take on the eighth-seeded Golden State Warriors
The Los Angeles Lakers are the top seed in the Western Conference and they will take on the eighth-seeded Golden State Warriors in the NBA Play In Tournament. The winner of that game will earn the seventh seed in the conference, and will take on the second-seeded Phoenix Suns
The Lakers are heavy favorites to win both games, but the Warriors have shown that they can compete with anyone when Steph Curry is healthy and playing at his MVP level. The Suns are a young team on the rise, led by All-Star guard Devin Booker They will be a tough out for whoever earns the seventh seed.
In the Eastern Conference the play in tournament features the Washington Wizards (ninth seed) taking on the Indiana Pacers (tenth seed). The winner of that game will take on the seventh-seeded Charlotte Hornets The winner of that game will earn the final spot in the conference playoffs.
The Wizards have been one of the most disappointing teams in the league this season, but they have been playing better as of late and they have All-Star guard Bradley Beal leading their offense. The Pacers are a young and talented team, but they have been plagued by injuries all season long
The Hornets are led by All-Star guard Kemba Walker and they have been one of the surprise teams in the league this season. They are a tough out for anyone, but they will be underdogs against whichever team comes out of the play in tournament from the East.
The second game of the day will see the seventh-seeded Portland Trail Blazers take on the tenth-seeded Memphis Grizzlies
The second game of the day will see the seventh-seeded Portland Trail Blazers take on the tenth-seeded Memphis Grizzlies Although the Blazers have been inconsistent this season, they are coming off a win against the Los Angeles Lakers and will be looking to build momentum heading into the play-in tournament. The Grizzlies, on the other hand, have struggled as of late and are facing an uphill battle against a Portland team that is desperate to make the playoffs.
The Eastern Conference will see the sixth-seeded Brooklyn Nets take on the seventh-seeded Orlando Magic
In the Western Conference the eighth-seeded Memphis Grizzlies will take on the ninth-seeded San Antonio Spurs. The winners of each game will advance to the NBA playoffs
The Eastern Conference matchup will see the sixth-seeded Brooklyn Nets take on the seventh-seeded Orlando Magic The Magic finished the regular season with a 35-47 record, while the Nets were 42-40.
This will be a tough matchup for the Nets, as they will be without Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant due to injuries. However, they do have a talented roster that includes All-Star point guard Spencer Dinwiddie and sharpshooter Joe Harris
The Magic are led by center Nikola Vucevic, who is having a career year. They also have a talented young core that includes guards Markelle Fultz and Mo Bamba.
The Nets are slight favorites to win this game, but it should be a close contest.
In the Western Conference the eighth-seeded Memphis Grizzlies will take on the ninth-seeded San Antonio Spurs. The Grizzlies finished the regular season with a 33-49 record, while the Spurs were 32-50.
The Grizzlies are led by point guard Ja Morant, who is one of the frontrunners for Rookie of the Year. They also have a solid young core that includes forwards Jaren Jackson Jr. and Brandon Clarke.
The Spurs are led by veteran forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who is having another solid season. They also have a talented young guard in Dejounte Murray
The Spurs are slight favorites to win this game, but it should be a close contest.
The Indiana Pacers the fifth seed in the East, will take on the Miami Heat who are the fourth seed.
The NBA Play In games are finally here, and after a long and grueling Regular Season we finally have our matchups set. The first game on tap is between the Indiana Pacers and the Miami Heat These two teams met four times during the regular season with each team winning twice. The Pacers are the fifth seed in the East, while the Heat are the fourth seed. So, who will win this matchup and advance to the first round of the playoffs? Let’s take a look at both teams and see who has the edge.
The Indiana Pacers are led by All-Star guard Victor Oladipo who averaged 21.4 points per game during the Regular Season Oladipo missed time due to injury this season, but he is healthy now and ready to go for the playoffs. The Pacers also have a solid supporting cast, including guard Malcolm Brogdon, forward TJ Warren, and center Myles Turner. One thing to watch for with the Pacers is their shooting percentage from three-point range they ranked 22nd in the league in that category during the regular season If they can knock down some shots from deep, they could be a dangerous team in the playoffs.
The Miami Heat are led by All-Star forward Jimmy Butler who averaged 19.9 points per game during the regular season Butler is a great two-way player who can impact the game on both ends of the court. The Heat also have some solid role players, including guard Tyler Herro forward Bam Adebayo, and center Meyers Leonard One thing to watch for with Miami is their shooting percentage from three-point range; they ranked 27th in the league in that category during the Regular season If they can improve their shooting from deep, they could be a tough team to beat in the playoffs.
So, who will win this matchup? It should be a close one, but we give a slight edge to Indiana because of their star player Victor Oladipo and their overall depth as a team.
The winner of the Nets/Magic game will take on the third-seeded Milwaukee Bucks while the winner of the Pacers/Heat game will take on the second-seeded Toronto Raptors
With the NBA regular season now over, all eyes are on the NBA Playoffs The first round of the playoffs is always a bit of a wildcard, with lower seeds often taking down higher seeds. But who will win in the first round this year?
We take a look at the two play-in games that will take place on Wednesday, August 15th. The winner of the Nets/Magic game will take on the third-seeded Milwaukee Bucks while the winner of the Pacers/Heat game will take on the second-seeded Toronto Raptors
The Nets are coming into this game as the seventh seed, after losing to the Orlando Magic in their final regular season game The Nets have been up and down all season long, and it’s tough to say which team will show up on Wednesday night. However, they do have star players in Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant so they can never be counted out.
The Magic are coming in as the eighth seed, and they will be looking to upset the Nets. The Magic finished the regular season strong, winning four of their last five games. They also have a solid young core led by guys like Markelle Fultz and Jonathan Isaac.
The Pacers are coming into this game as the ninth seed, after losing to the Miami Heat in their final Regular season game The Pacers have been without star player Victor Oladipo for most of the season, but they’ve still managed to stay competitive. They have a balanced team that is led by guys like Domantas Sabonis and Malcolm Brogdon.
The Heat are coming into this game as the 10th seed, but they are arguably one of the hottest teams in the league right now. The Heat went 5-0 in their final five regular season games, and they seem to be peaking at just the right time. They have a talented team led by Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo.
So who will win these play-in games? We’ll have to wait and see!

Who do you think will win each of the play-in games? Who do you think will make it to the NBA Finals?
The NBA Playoffs are in Full Swing and while the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers are on a Collision Course in the NBA Finals there are a number of other intriguing matchups that could take place in the first two rounds. In the East, meanwhile, the defending champion Cavaliers will face off against either the Indiana Pacers or Miami Heat in the first round, while the Boston Celtics are likely to take on either the Milwaukee Bucks or Toronto Raptors The winner of that series will likely go on to face either the Washington Wizards or Atlanta Hawks in what should be an incredibly competitive second round.
