With the NBA Combine and college Basketball season now over, we have a much better idea of which players will be selected in which order in the 2020 NBA draft

There are always stories of players being drafted too high or too low, but what about those players who are drafted in exactly the right spot? How often do they pan out? And what about those players who are drafted in the lottery but never quite make it? Are they “busts”? What percentage of them turn out to be busts? Here is a look at the top ten prospects in the 2020 nba mock draft and their chances of becoming a bust:

What are their chances of becoming a star?

The 2020 NBA Mock Draft by ESPN has been released and it is full of surprises. Here are the top 10 prospects and their chances of becoming a star in the league according to ESPN’s analysts.

1. Lamelo Ball – 60%
2. Anthony Edwards – 50%
3. Obi Toppin – 45%
4. Tyrese Haliburton – 30%
5. Killian Hayes – 25%
6. James Wiseman – 20%
7. Cole Anthony – 15%
8. Deni Avdija – 10%
9. Onyeka Okongwu – 5%
10. RJ Hampton – 2%

What are their chances of becoming a role player?

1. Zion Williamson – Duke | PF
There is no doubt that Williamson is the most physically gifted player in the class. He checks every box from an athleticism standpoint and has the potential to be a very good player on both ends of the floor. However, his lack of experience (he only played one year of college basketball) and his skinny frame (he weighs 285 pounds) are concerns. If he can bulk up and add some strength, he has a chance to be a very good player in the NBA.

2. Ja Morant – Murray State | PG
Morant is an explosive athlete with a 6’10” wingspan who can score from anywhere on the court. He’s also an excellent passer with good vision. The biggest concern with Morant is his defense; he will need to improve his lateral quickness to stay in front of quicker point guards at the next level.

3. RJ Barrett – Duke | SF
Barrett is a 6’7” wing with a 7’0” wingspan who can score in a variety of ways. He’s an excellent shooter (41% from three-point range), but he’s also very good at attacking the basket and finishing around the rim. Barrett will need to improve his ball-handling skills and decision-making if he wants to be an effective point forward in the NBA.

4. Sekou Doumbouya – Limoges CSP (France) | SF/PF
Doumbouya is a 6’9″ forward with a 7’0″ wingspan who spent last season playing professionally in France. He’s an excellent athlete with good shooting mechanics, but he’s still raw offensively and needs to continue to develop his skills on that end of the court. Defensively, Doumbouya has all the tools to be an elite defender, but he needs to add some strength and bulk before he can truly reach his potential on that end of the floor.

5. Darius Garland – Vanderbilt | PG
Garland was considered one of the top prospects in the class before suffering a season-ending Knee Injury just five games into his college career at Vanderbilt. He’s an excellent shooter with deep range (43% from three-point range) and has good size for a point guard (6’2″ with a 6’5″ wingspan). The biggest concern with Garland is his injury history; he missed most of his senior year of High School due to a torn meniscus in his right knee and then tore his left ACL this past season. If he can stay healthy, Garland has All-Star potential, but that is far from guaranteed at this point.

6.. Cameron Reddish – Duke | SF/SG
Reddish is one of the most skilled players in the class; he’s an excellent shooter (41% from three-point range) with deep range and he has good size for a wing (6’8″ with a 7’1″ wingspan). He’s also a good ball-handler who can create shots for himself off the dribble or pass out of double teams when necessary. The biggest concern with Reddish is his lack of athleticism; he’s not especially quick or explosive and might have trouble staying in front of quicker guards at the next level . If he can find ways to score against better athletes, Reddish has All-Star potential, but that remains to be seen .
7.. Coby WhiteNorth Carolina | PG/SG
White burst onto the scene as one North Carolina’s freshman last season, averaging 16 points per game en route to being named ACC Rookie of the Year . He’san excellent shooterwith deep range(37%from three-pointrange)andgood size for aguard(6’5″witha 6’8″wingspan).ThebiggestconcernwithWhiteisthe paceofhisgame;hesometimestendstooverdribbleandforcedthings offensively , whichcanleadtoturnovers .Hewills needtosimplifyhisgameandplayundercontrolifhewantsto beeffectiveintheNBA . 8..Rui Hachimura – Gonzaga|PF HachimuraisafrontcourtplayerwhospentthreeyearsatGonzaga ,averaging19pointspergamelastseasononhiswayto beingnamedWCCPlayeroftheYear .Hehasgoodsizeforafourman(6’8″,230pounds)andalsogoodathleticism .
