The 2012 NBA regular season is winding down and the Playoff Picture is starting to take shape. The Chicago Bulls are currently on top of the standings with a 61-20 record, followed closely by the Miami Heat at 58-22. The San Antonio Spurs are also in contention for the top spot with a 56-24 record.
The Oklahoma City Thunder Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks are all fighting for playoff position in the Western Conference The Thunder currently hold the third seed with a 50-31 record, followed by the Lakers at 40-37 and the Mavericks at 36-41.
Eastern Conference
In the Eastern Conference the Miami Heat lead the way with a record of 50-16. The Indiana Pacers are in second place with a mark of 49-17, while the Chicago Bulls hold down third place at 45-21. The Brooklyn Nets are in fourth place at 43-23, while the Atlanta Hawks round out the top five at 41-25.
In the Western Conference the Oklahoma City Thunder lead the pack with a record of 54-12. The San Antonio Spurs are in second place at 50-16, while the Denver Nuggets occupy third place at 47-19. The Los Angeles Clippers are in fourth place at 46-20, while the Memphis Grizzlies round out the top five at 44-22.
Western Conference
The Western Conference of the National Basketball Association is made up of fifteen teams, divided into three divisions of five teams each. The members of the conference are listed below, in order of their standing in the 2012 season.

Central Division
The Central Division is home to some of the best teams in the NBA, and the standings reflect that. The Chicago Bulls and the Indiana Pacers are currently tied for first place, with the Bulls holding a slight lead in the divisional standings. The Milwaukee Bucks are in third place, followed by the Detroit Pistons and the Cleveland Cavaliers
Southeast Division
The Southeast Division of the National Basketball Association (NBA) is one of the three divisions of the Eastern Conference of the NBA. The division consists of five teams, all of which are based in the Southeastern United States
As of the end of the 2011-12 NBA season the Southeast Division has been dominated by the Miami Heat who have won the division title in each of the last five seasons. The other four teams in the division – the Atlanta Hawks Charlotte Bobcats Orlando Magic and Washington Wizards – have all failed to win a division title during that time.
Northwest Division
The Northwest Division is made up of the following teams:

Pacific Division
In the 2012 NBA season the Pacific Division teams include the Los Angeles Lakers the Los Angeles Clippers the Golden State Warriors the Sacramento Kings and the Phoenix Suns
The Lakers are currently in first place with a record of 41-12. The Clippers are in second place with a record of 32-19. The Warriors are in third place with a record of 23-28. The Kings are in fourth place with a record of 20-31. The Suns are in fifth place with a record of 18-33.
Southwest Division
The Southwest Division is made up of the Dallas Mavericks Houston Rockets Memphis Grizzlies New Orleans Hornets and San Antonio Spurs As of March 11, 2012, the Mavericks are in first place with a record of 32-21. The Rockets are in second place with a record of 28-26, followed by the Grizzlies (25-27), Hornets (17-35) and Spurs (30-19).

The Northeast Division is a division of the Eastern Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The division consists of five teams, all located in the Northeastern United States The 2012 NBA Standings for the Northeast Division are as follows:
1. New York Knicks – The New York Knicks are currently in first place in the Northeast Division with a record of 37-22. The Knicks are led by forward Carmelo Anthony who is averaging 28.6 points per game
2. Boston Celtics – The Boston Celtics are currently in second place in the Northeast Division with a record of 33-27. The Celtics are led by point guard Rajon Rondo who is averaging 11.9 assists per game
3. Philadelphia 76ers – The Philadelphia 76ers are currently in third place in the Northeast Division with a record of 27-32. The 76ers are led by center Andrew Bynum, who is averaging 18.7 points per game and 11.8 rebounds per game
